This training workshop provided an overview of the general principles of arbitration and explored in detail the role of the government in commercial and investment arbitrations in the cross-border context with a focus on the types of disputes that might arise out of the Belt and Road Intiative. The workshop was tailored towards meeting the training needs of government representatives involved in any aspect of trade, finance, investment and foreign affairs. 40 attendees from various government agencies and insitutions attended the event.
