HKIAC brought its arbitration clause negotiation workshop to Singapore on 13 February 2017. The workshop took place at Maxwell Chambers.
The mock negotiation concerned a Chinese private equity fund’s investment in a Sino-foreign joint venture through an Indonesian company that is majority-owned by a Singaporean state-owned enterprise. The speakers included Lucy Reed (National University of Singapore), Chiann Bao (Skadden), Christopher Boog (Schellenberg Wittmer), Cameron Ford (Rio Tinto), Paul Tan (Rajah & Tann) and Joe Liu (HKIAC). The workshop was supported by HKTDC, TDM, Singapore Chapter of Association of Corporate Counsel, CIArb (Singapore Branch) and Singapore Institute of Legal Education.
The event was attended by around 40 in-house counsel and practitioners.
